The Greenmount Association, an organisation of former students of the Greenmount agricultural college campus in Co. Antrim, has invited former students to a reunion event this month.

The association is inviting former students who completed their Certificate Course in Agriculture (CCA), Certificate Course in Horticulture (CCA), and National Diploma courses in 1986, to the 40-year reunion.

The event will take place on Friday, June 19, at the Greenmount Campus of the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprises (CAFRE), beginning at 10:30a.m.

The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) said the reunion promises to be a memorable occasion for past students to “reconnect, share memories and celebrate their time at the college”.

The event will include an update on college developments, and a guided tour of the farm and horticulture facilities.

All members of the class of 1986 are encouraged to attend the reunion to mark “this important milestone and renew friendships together”.

Places at the event must be booked in advance by contacting the Greenmount Association.

The Greenmount Association describes itself as working to foster lifelong connections among former students to support and reconnect the college’s “thriving alumni network”.
