New Holland will unveil a range of new agricultural implements at Agritechnica 2017, which starts on Sunday (November 12).

Following the acquisition of Kongskilde Agriculture – a deal that was completed earlier this year – New Holland has started the gradual integration of those agricultural implements into its own product offering.

The first selection of these will be present on New Holland’s stand at Agritechnica in Hanover, Germany.

The emergence of these implements ends months of speculation in the agricultural machinery world, as to when Kongskilde’s machines would adopt New Holland branding.

New Holland – or rather its parent company CNH Industrial – confirmed its intention to acquire the ‘grass’ and ‘soil’ equipment lines of Kongskilde back in October of last year.

This chunk of Kongskilde’s business comprised of a factory in Poland and another in Sweden, plus other facilities. The deal has now given New Holland access to a wider range of machinery and implements – equipment that was previously offered under a variety of brand-names, including Kongskilde, Overum, JF and even Howard.

“We provide all-round agricultural solutions to maximise the efficiency and productivity of our customers,” said Carlo Lambro, New Holland’s agriculture brand president.

Agricultural implements must be perfectly integrated with the product they are fitted to – and this is what we are doing. We are combining our technological excellence with specific expertise from Kongskilde.

“Kongskilde is a pioneer in its field – a well-established player that has exactly the kind of heritage and know-how we needed to develop a best-in-class implement portfolio. This new global platform will provide growth opportunities for both our brands.”

New Holland branded mowers

The DiscCutter F 320P front mower-conditioner and DiscCutter 320P rear mower-conditioner (with hydraulic suspension and stone release) are among the first new ‘Hay & Forage’ machines.

They join the existing ‘yellow’ family of harvesting machinery; New Holland already offers its own, existing big square balers, round balers and forage harvesters.

New Holland also enters the tillage business, courtesy of the Kongskilde deal. First up is the six-furrow PXV fully-mounted plough. It’s a variable-width model, with a non-stop auto-reset system.

New Holland will also unveil an RVM rotary tiller in its own livery. It comes with a geared side-drive, a four-speed gearbox and C-blades.

Soil-engaging (tillage) equipment will be painted in New Holland tractor blue.

The new products, branded in yellow and blue on the New Holland stand (together with further ‘Hay & Forage’ and tillage implements) will be distributed by the New Holland dealer network here in Europe (as well as the Middle East and Africa).

First machine deliveries will start from spring of next year.

Meanwhile, Kongskilde Agriculture will continue to offer its implements and machines through its own, existing dealers and distributors.
