DM Hall has brought a 5ac land holding with a four-bedroom farmhouse and multiple outbuildings to the market.

The Scottish firm of chartered surveyors is inviting offers of over £325,000 to acquire Wester Pirleyhill Farm, which is located 2.8 miles from Falkirk Stirlingshire.

The site is located on the edge of the village of Shieldhill and sits in a private position with panoramic views towards Falkirk and Grangemouth beyond.

Shieldhill has both primary and secondary schools, while Falkirk High train station provides “excellent rail connections from east to west”, DM Hall said.

Jennifer Campbell of DM Hall’s rural department is overseeing the sale process of Wester Pirleyhill Farm.

She said: “Wester Pirleyhill Farm offers a unique opportunity to acquire a rural property with great potential, which operated as a traditional farm for many years.

“The property comprises a two-storey 4-bedroom farmhouse in need of complete modernisation, extensive traditional farm outbuildings of mixed repair and grazing land extending to approximately 5ac.

“Scarcity of land and the drive for sustainable food production will likely entice many to this sale, hoping to revive what was once a bustling market place for locals purchasing, eggs, potatoes and fruit.

“The availability of land on the site also opens up opportunities for renewables, equestrian or smallholding use subject to obtaining any required consents. Whilst the development potential cannot be ignored, this is also a fantastic opportunity for a rural enterprise.”

Campbell said DM Hall’s client is seeking offers over £325,000 and that all viewing enquiries should be directed to the DM Hall rural team by email or phone.
