DDM Agriculture announces new acquisition
Yorkshire and east Midlands agricultural service provider DDM Agriculture has announced that it has acquired John H Pickup & Co in Bawtry, Doncaster.
The decision was made to enhance the long-term future of both businesses and to collectively expand the professional services offered.
The acquisition was completed at the end of August with the business now operating under the revised name of JH Pickup & Co.
The move will give JH Pickup & Co access to “greater physical and technical resources, enhancing their ability to continue delivering valuable professional services at a very challenging time for the farming industry”, according to DDM.
John H Pickup & Co
Founded in 1983, John H Pickup & Co has sold and let significant areas of land in the region for clients over the last 35 years.
It has also been “instrumental in setting up numerous contract farming arrangements” and has undertaken all other types of professional work.
JH Pickup & Co will continue to operate from the Bawtry office. The team will be joined by Andrew Houlden, a director of DDM Agriculture.

Based in Brigg, north Lincolnshire, DDM Agriculture was originally founded in 1889. In addition to a significant presence in the East Midlands, the firm also provides specialist advice in relation to renewables projects throughout the UK.
