Women working at Avara Foods are to gain access to an industry-leading suite of career development tools and mentoring, through the company’s new partnership with Meat Business Women, a global networking group for women working in the meat industry.

With the partnership, Avara employees will get priority access to Meat Business Women’s programme of events, networking opportunities and mentorship schemes.

Avara will also be providing expertise and input into the group’s strategic direction and supporting Meat Business Women’s wider mission of raising the profile of women in the meat industry.

We are delighted to welcome Avara Foods as one of our strategic partners and look forward to working even more closely with its brilliant team,” said Laura Ryan, chair of Meat Business Women.

We know from speaking to hundreds of women in the global meat industry that networking and mentoring can make a huge difference to women’s career paths. It’s fantastic that Avara is investing proactively in the development of female talent and giving women throughout the business the tools they need to succeed.”

Also lending a comment, Andy Dawkins, CEO at Avara said:

“From the very beginning, Avara has been a truly inclusive business; one that values diversity and harnesses the advantages that come from different ideas, perspectives and experiences. This doesn’t happen on its own.

“It requires purposeful actions and our strategic partnership with Meat Business Women will play an important part in ensuring we are a business where everyone can be the best version of themselves.”
