NI Water has reminded farmers the slurry spreading season in Northern Ireland comes to a close on October 15, 2025
The closed period for the spreading of farmyard manure starts on November 1 and will last until mid-January at the earliest.
The Government has no plans to extend the slurry deadline past October 15 of this year, according to Minister Damian English.
