Agriconnect, the organisers of the CropTec show, has said that the 2023 event will go ahead despite the closure of its usual venue – the East of England Showground.

The technical arable event is in need of an alternative venue after the East of England Showground confirmed that Asset Earning Power Group (AEPG) would be submitting a planning application to redevelop the site into new homes and a leisure complex.

CropTec is scheduled to take place on November 29-30, with the organisers saying details of the new venue will be shared and confirmed in the coming days and weeks.

Event manager at CropTec, Verity Hyland, said: “After many successful years, we will be relocating to a new facility that will continue to serve our exhibitors and visitors and provide even more opportunities following the success of the 10th anniversary show in November 2022 at the East of England Showground.”

Hyland said the CropTec team is working to ensure a seamless transition to the event’s new venue, and that attendees will be made aware of any potential changes to the event’s schedule.

Head of operations at CropTec, Justine Sumner, said: “Our team is dedicated to providing the same high-quality service and experience that you have come to expect from us.”

Agriconnect thanked its supporters for their “understanding and patience” during the change of venue, and said it is looking forward to “continuing to host a leading industry event for their partners at a new venue”.
