The FTMTA (Farm Tractor and Machinery Trade Association) has announced that its membership is growing; three new companies have just joined the organisation.

The news came following the July meeting of the association’s executive council, which admitted membership to the three firms. The dealerships, based in counties Carlow, Galway and Wexford, are detailed below.

Pat Timmins Tractors

Pat Timmins Tractors, Killinure House, Tullow, Co. Carlow, imports and sells second-hand New Holland and Ford tractors, along with other machinery including loaders and mowers. The company has more than 40 years’ experience in the industry and is located on the Carlow/Wicklow border.

Murphy Agri Machinery Ltd

Murphy Agri Machinery Ltd of Horsevalley, Headford, Co. Galway, which trades as Murphys of Headford, is a dealer for Deutz-Fahr and a selection of machinery brands including MX, Tanco, Sip and others. Founded in 1981, the company claims to have over 20,000 satisfied customers.

Kehoe Brothers Machinery Ltd

Finally, Kehoe Brothers Machinery Ltd, of Ballydaniel, Camolin, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford, operates as a main dealer for Fendt, Massey Ferguson, Manitou, Abbey, Quicke, Krone and Amazone, as well as offering a range of used machinery. Established in 1984, the company is run by Joe, Denis and Laurence Kehoe.

According to the FTMTA, membership is on the up and the three dealerships are “the latest in a significant number of new members recruited by the association in recent months”.
