Star of the Clarkson’s Farm series on Amazon Prime Video, Kaleb Cooper, has released a single – ‘I Can’t Stand Sheep!’ – to raise money for the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI).

The RABI was established in 1860 and offers support to farming communities across England and Wales.

The charity provides guidance, financial support, practical care and mental health resources to farming people of all ages.

RABI’s helpline number, 0800 188 444, which is contactable 24/7, is included as part of the song.

“As a community, farmers are only too aware of how pressurised the industry has become – the farming way of life can feel lonely at times,” Cooper said.

“I wanted to make sure that if people are struggling they have somewhere to reach out to.

“The RABI offers incredible support to the farming community in a range of different ways and this felt like the perfect solution to get that message out – make the helpline number part of the lyrics.”

The RABI charity single is a reflection of Cooper’s dislike of sheep and is described as falling into the country rap genre.

Through his lyrics, Cooper aims to raise awareness of challenges faced by the farming community.

Lyrics include:

  • “I’m raising money for the RABI for all the farming people who need a hand getting by”;
  • “Whenever the weather gets you down and you think you might be better off in a town, wait for the morning in all it’s glory. A new day can bring a different story”;
  • “Don’t forget us when you clear your plate. Good food never goes out of date. It’s more than a job, it’s a life, you see, it means the world to people like me”;
  • “It can get lonely up in the cab, thinking about all the hard times that you’ve had. A problem shared is a problem halved, if you’re feeling lost out in the yard.”
