Massey Ferguson's new 7S Mark 2 tractor has been equipped with a redesigned version of the popular 8S cab, so what's changed?
The redesigned version of the popular MF 8S cab retainx the 3.4m3 interior space.
The cab also features the 6.6m2 glass area and Protect-U design, which provides 15cm of space separating the cab and the engine inside the new bonnet.
This separation improves visibility while also reducing the amount of noise, vibration and heat that is transferred to the operator.
The redesigned cab also comes with the new Datatronic 6 display, featuring a 12in touchscreen terminal that Massey Ferguson claims is double the size of the previous system.
The Datatronic 6 boasts a higher resolution, limitless user profiles and tiled carousels that can be customised per user, with the ability to show maps, data management, and guidance technology.
There are four tiles per carousel (for a total of 16 customisable tiles available at any given time) that can be used to organise frequently used options on the terminal for operators.
The tractor is set to come with two trims: 'efficient' and 'exclusive'.
The 'efficient' spec tractor can come with the Datatronic 6 screen mounted to its regular position of the armrest console or to the rail on the right side of the cab.
In the 'exclusive' spec, the cabin seat is of higher quality and provides a larger rotation angle.
'Efficient' versions are equipped with up to four hydraulic valves: either four mechanical or a mixed package of mechanical and electro-hydraulic valves (a configuration exclusive to Massey Ferguson) with decompression levers for easy connection.
'Exclusive' specification tractors can have up to five electric valves, each capable of delivering up to 120L of flow per minute, with decompression levers as standard.
The cab contains 14 vents from factory and has an optional Category 4 filtration system to provide protection during spraying tasks, which will prove useful for those planning on using a mounted or trailed sprayer.
The cabs also feature plenty of built-in storage, with a factory-installed phone holder for mounting on the armrest or terminal rail comes with the cab; there is also the option of a fridge.
When sat in the cab, one can feel the high-quality experience that the Massey Ferguson engineers have spent considerable time developing.
It is clear that focus has gone into reducing operator fatigue through a comfortable and convenient experience.
The tractor can come with up to four cameras, including front and rear units along with cameras for position on the tractor or trailer and implements.
These cameras can also be linked to the in-cab terminal and shown on the tiles on-screen.
LED lighting will be as standard, with four upgrade packages, including a maximum 27 LED lights (which positions eight on the bonnet and 19 on the cab).
The lights can be adjusted on and off in front and rear orientations.
The 7S Mark 2 will be on display at EIMA 2026 in Bologna, Italy, but journalists got a first look last month in Beauvais, France.
The tractor is powered by the AGCO Power Core75 7.5L engine, with six models ranging form 170-245hp.
With a ML180 continuously variable transmission (CVT) and a wheelbase of 2.95m, the tractor combines smooth acceleration with a well-sized body.
The 410L diesel tank is competitive with tractors in the same hp range.
A deeper dive into the tractor can be seen here.
According to Massey Ferguson, it is planning on releasing YouTube tutorials for the cab and the tractor in early 2027.
