Holstein UK has announced National Agricultural and Exhibition Centre (NAEC) Stoneleigh as the new venue for the 2023 All Breeds All Britain Calf Show.

In February it was announced that Asset Earning Power Group (AEPG) would be submitting a planning application to redevelop the event’s former location, the East of England Showground, into new homes and a leisure complex.

The All Breeds All Britain Calf Show, which sees seven dairy breeds come together and celebrate young breeders from the UK dairy industry, will take place from October 6-8, 2023, at the new Warwickshire venue.

NAEC Stoneleigh was agreed on by the Holstein UK board of trustees with location, accommodation and general facilities available for the show being considered.

National Holstein Young Breeders (HYB) coordinator, Naomi Lewis, said Holstein UK is looking forward to welcoming attendees to the new venue after “several successful years at the East of England Showground”.

“The new venue will continue to provide young breeders from all dairy breeds the opportunity to come together to showcase their showmanship skills and show their calves,” she said.

“We are very pleased to have found a venue which is in such a central location for the majority of our exhibitors.”

Head of venue sales at NAEC Stoneleigh, Lowri Croydon, said: “We are very much looking forward to welcoming the wonderful team at Holstein UK to NAEC Stoneleigh this October.

“Our central location and agricultural heritage provides the scope to expand and develop the historic event.”

Holstein UK said it was thankful for the patience of its exhibitors during the transition period between venues for the event.

“Please note that we are still in the planning stages of the event therefore we’re still finalising some of the finer details, further information will be made available in due course,” it said.
