Taking centre stage at this year’s De Courcey Vintage and Classic Club Working Day on 5 August will be a unique collection of historical Claas machinery, brought together to mark the 100 years anniversary of Claas.

The event, which is being held at Barrels Cross near Kinsale in Co Cork, will serve as a high point in the Claas 100 Year celebrations in Ireland. As part of the working day, there will be will be an area featuring a large display of vintage, classic and modern Claas trailed and self-propelled combines, together with balers and other harvesting equipment, making this possibly one of the largest gatherings of historic Claas machinery in Europe.

A highpoint of the day will be the auction of a very special copy of the recently published ‘100 Years of Harvesting Excellence’ book, which provides a comprehensive history of Claas and its products, and which has been personally signed by Helmut Claas for this auction. Also on auction will be two Claas combine models. The first represents a Claas Lexion 770 Terratrac from McCarthys who are Claas main dealers and the second representing the 100th anniversary of Claas.

The proceeds from the auction and the event will be going to The Children’s Leukaemia Unit Cork and other local charities.
