Rays Farm Country Matters, a farm park in Shropshire, is shutting down operations in 2023 due to reasons it has said are outside its control.

“It is with regret we have to inform all our visitors, past and present, that Rays Farm Country Matters will not be opening again in 2023,” it said on social media today (Tuesday, January 3).

“Due to several reasons outside of our control, the decision has been made to close the business. We thank everyone for their support.”

Ray’s Farm had been operating as a family farm attraction. The family owned business offered walks through the countryside and a chance to meet its animals as well as seasonal activities including Santa’s grotto this past month.

It also had a coffee shop and gift shop on site, and play areas for children.
