Forage machinery specialist Krone UK will be showcasing its latest product developments at the 2023 LAMMA show.

LAMMA, the UK’s leading agricultural machinery, equipment and services show, will take place on January 10 and 11, 2023, at the NEC in Birmingham.

At the show, Krone UK will launch the world’s widest front-holding mower, a fully automated wrapper and its new 980 wide-body Big X forager.

The machinery company will also launch the new GX wagon, a moving floor multipurpose agricultural trailer. It will be the first time the machine has been seen in the UK.

A spokesperson for Krone UK said: “Krone UK is really excited to be back at LAMMA in January where we will be showcasing 26 machines across our full product range, including our new transport trailer, the GX.

“The GX is our first multipurpose trailer designed for large farmers and contractor use to handle every product from oilseed rape to potatoes and woodchips.

“A lot of new technologies and innovations have been engineered into the machine including a windowed front wall that is attached to a fabricated belt in the trailer floor that ensure smooth and easy unloading.”

LAMMA 2023

LAMMA is the UK’s premier farm machinery show which aims to connect farmers from all sectors with companies who can provide machinery, technology and equipment for the farming industry.

The show is expected to attract over 40,000 visitors over the span of the two days.

In 2023, over 600 exhibitors will showcase the latest tractors, combines, arable and grassland machinery, as well as a wide range of new technology, services and tools for every sector.

Machinery launches, UK debuts, global brands and small manufacturers will all be together under the same roof, the show organisers said.

Young engineer award

The Young Engineer Award will return for the 2023 LAMMA show.

Like last year, the show’s organisers said the award will aim to champion and individual or collective of young engineers.

The winner, or winners, will have created or worked on a piece of agricultural machinery, equipment or technology which significantly improved efficiency, profitability or sustainability on-farm.

The 2022 winner of the award, Stephen Davies, will return to LAMMA 2023 as an exhibitor with his DTec 200 feeding and mixing bucket.

Stephen Davies

“I would definitely recommend that others enter the award,” Davies said.

“It showed me I was on the right path and made the right decision to launch my own business and continue working on the DTec 200.”
