The Farm Retail Association (FRA) has revealed the shortlist of UK farm businesses up for awards across eight different categories.

The awards ceremony, sponsored by retailer COOK, will take place on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, as part of the FRA’s annual ‘Stronger Together’ event.

The award categories include:

  • Rising Star of the Year Award;
  • Farm Shop Butchery of the Year Award;
  • Large Farm Shop of the Year (turnover over £1.5 million);
  • Small Farm Shop of the Year (turnover under £1.5 million);
  • Farmers’ Market of the Year;
  • Farm Cafe/Restaurant of the Year;
  • PYO of the year;
  • Associate Member of the Year.

Chair of the Farm Retail Association, Rupert Evans, said: “After one of the most challenging years that we have ever faced, it brings me great pleasure to announce some of the very best retailers in our industry.

“Our industry has faced soaring costs – not least within the food chain and the energy prices.

“This year, of all years, we need some good news and time for celebration so for everyone shortlisted, we salute you for your hard work, resilience, and service to communities.

“Good luck to all our finalists, we look forward to an exciting ceremony in March.”
