The Farmers Union of Wales (FUW) has announced that the first of its farm breakfast events will take place in Anglesey on May 23.

The union said:

“If you’re on Anglesey on Monday morning, you’d be strongly advised to make your way over to Morgan Evans Market Cafe in Gaerwen between 9.30 am and 12.30pm.

“There you will be treated to a delicious breakfast made up of everything that is good and plentiful in the area with local produce being cooked up and showcased and all for the handsome price of £10/person with all proceeds going to our president’s chosen charity, the DPJ Foundation.”

Speaking about the upcoming event, Anglesey County Executive Officer Alaw Jones said:

“After a long two year break we are very excited to be able to host the annual Farmhouse Breakfast once again, although the event is delayed slightly from the traditional FUW January breakfast week due to the rising Covid cases at the time.

“It will be a great opportunity to catch up with members and friends over a plateful of tasty local produce to whom we are extremely grateful to the local butchers, bakeries and suppliers who have kindly donated produce for the event.”

Attending the event will be local Rhun ap Iorwerth MS for Anglesey as well as members of the DPJ Foundation.
