Aurivo co-op has increased its milk price for October by 1.25c/L, a spokesperson for the co-op has confirmed to Agriland.
This milk price increase will bring the price for October supplies to 27c/L, including VAT.
Aurivo is the latest co-op to increase its milk price and follows Kerry, Glanbia and Lakeland Dairies in doing so this month.
Yesterday, Kerry announced that it would be increasing its October milk price by 2c/L, taking the October base milk price to 28c/L including VAT.
Earlier this week, Glanbia announced that members suppliers will receive 28c/L, including VAT, for October milk supplies.
This price is inclusive of a 1c/L Glanbia Co-operative Society support payment to its members.
Glanbia Ingredients Ireland (GII) has increased its base price by 2c/L to 27c/L including VAT for manufacturing milk at 3.6% fat and 3.3% protein.
Meanwhile, following a meeting of the Lakeland Dairies board last week, it decided to increase its October milk price by 1c/L.
The 1c/L increase brings the October milk price paid to farmer suppliers to 27c/L including VAT, and it follows on from last month’s 1c/L milk price increase.
The increase in co-ops increasing the milk price in October coincides with an increase in dairy prices at the Global Dairy Trade auction.
On Tuesday, dairy product prices increased 4.5% at the auction and this followed on from a bumper increase in prices of 11.4%.
The main movers at the latest auction were butter milk powder (BMP) prices and cheddar prices with inceases of 13.3% and 11%, respectively.
