AgriSearch is reminding beef and sheep farmers in Northern Ireland that the closing date to participate in its survey is fast approaching.
The survey is focused on the research and innovation needs of these livestock sectors.
The survey can be found on the AgriSearch website and will be open until Monday, September, 1.

Jason Rankin, AgriSearch strategy manager, noted that it has been over a decade since the organisation last undertook a significant survey of beef and sheep farmers.
“There have been many changes in the sector since that time and this survey will give us an invaluable insight into how AgriSearch can best meet the present needs of the sector.
“The first of our objectives in our five-year strategic plan was to place the farmers’ needs at the heart of research and innovation in Northern Ireland.
“We will use the findings of this survey, along with the results of the recent dairy farmer survey to articulate farmers’ research and innovation needs to government and academia,” he said.
AgriSearch (the Northern Ireland Agricultural Research and Development Council) is an independent charity which was formed in 1997.
The organisation provides a mechanism through which beef, dairy, and sheep farmers can have direct involvement in production-orientated research.
Funds contributed to AgriSearch are used to commission research into the improvement and development of beef, sheep, and dairy farming.
AgriSearch’s guiding principal is to “provide practical benefit for primary producers to reduce costs, improve performance, drive innovation and improve welfare”.
