Police in Northern Ireland are appealing for information after sheep were found dead in a field in Co. Antrim.
Police said that the deaths of the sheep appear to have been deliberate, rather than an incident of livestock worrying.
A statement from the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said police in Larne are appealing for information following the report of two sheep being found dead.
A report was received on Tuesday (March 17) that two sheep had been found dead in a field in the Glenarm area.
“This appears to have been caused deliberately and not by an animal,” the statement said.
“This is a senseless and extremely cruel crime, and we would be keen to hear from anyone who noticed anything unusual in the area during the times above,” the PSNI statement said.
