Dale Farm is gearing up to host its annual tractor and truck run in Co. Antrim in aid of its charity partner, Cancer Focus Northern Ireland.
The annual event will take place on Friday, July 4, kicking off from Ballymena Livestock Market, with the organisers saying it will be a community-driven event full of family fun.
The event attracts families, supporter and vehicle enthusiasts from the local community in a bid to raise crucial funds for the selected cause.
Dale Farm’s Gail McCullough said: “Our tractor and truck run brings together our farmers, our employees and our community to support a cause that touches so many lives.
“Whether you’re behind the wheel of a tractor or truck, or simply coming along to enjoy the atmosphere, everyone is welcome.
Dale Farm raised over £10,000 at their inaugural tractor run last year, with over 160 vehicles taking part.
The cooperative recently announced it raised £65,000 over the past year with support from the local community.
The charity committee at Dale Farm, made up of team members from across the dairy cooperative’s Northern Ireland sites, coordinated the fundraising efforts.
Cancer Focus NI
The cooperative stated that it has extended its partnership with Cancer Focus Northern Ireland until 2027.
McCullough said “We’re proud to stand with Cancer Focus NI and help raise funds for the vital work they do across Northern Ireland.”
Manager of corporate fundraising at Cancer Focus NI, Rosie Forsythe stated: “We’re incredibly grateful to Dale Farm for their continued support.
“Community-led events like this make a real difference in helping us provide cancer prevention, care, and support services to people when they need them most.
“The funds raised from this amazing event will directly benefit local families affected by cancer.”
The event promises a great evening of family fun, live music, and great food with all proceed going towards the cause.
Registration will be open from 5:30p.m to 7:30p.m, An entry fee of £25 per vehicle will be in place but with that, participants will receive a a meal voucher, a drink, and some Dale Farm ice cream.
