Massey Ferguson has received a ‘Finalist Award’ for its 6713 tractor in the ‘Best Utility’ category (Tractor of the Year 2019).

“We are proud the 6713 was nominated for this award by the expert jury from across Europe,” said Francesco Quaranta, vice-president of Sales, Marketing & Product Management (Massey Ferguson EME).

“This Finalist Award, which follows the 5713 SL winning the ‘Best Utility’ Tractor of the Year in 2016, confirms that we continue to set the standard in this important segment.”

According to Massey Ferguson, the 130hp 6713 is complemented by a “novel, complete ownership package”.

This approach offers a fixed cost of ownership, including the MF Care extended warranty for five years or 2,500 hours. For a typical 6713 customer, Massey Ferguson says that this results in “a net price from €28.50/day” (in the Italian market, where the awards ceremony is taking place).

$350 million investment

The result of an apparent $350 million investment (to develop a completely new range), the 6713 has a 2.5m wheelbase and a 5.2t lift capacity.

The tractor was designed and is built in Massey Ferguson’s Beauvais (France) facility.

Power is delivered by a 130hp (4.4L, four-cylinder) AGCO Power engine. Drive is transmitted via a new 12F 12R gearbox, developed by Massey Ferguson specifically for 6700 Series tractors. A (standard) power-shuttle delivers clutch-less direction changes.

“When our customers buy a 6713 they know they can rely on Massey Ferguson to deliver the exact specification and features they depend on to improve performance and efficiency,” added Quaranta.

“With our total package, they will also be getting not only the best value for money but also the ability to fix the cost of ownership. And for today’s farming businesses, that’s an extremely valuable benefit.”
