A 60-year-old woman driving a tractor has died, following a road traffic collision in West Dorset.

The incident took place on Monday, September 6, on Hackney road near Corscombe.

Dorset Police are appealing for witnesses and ask for anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.

“I am also keen to hear from any motorists who were driving in the area and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage,” said Police Sergeant Rhys Griffiths of the traffic unit, who said his thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman who died.

“A thorough investigation is underway to establish the circumstances of the collision and I would urge anyone who witnessed what happened to please come forward,” he continued.

“Finally, I would like to thank the public while the area was cordoned off as this allowed to us to respond in a safe manner and carry out a detailed examination of the scene.”
