Glasson Fertilisers, a leading UK manufacturer and supplier of agricultural fertiliser products and a subsidiary of Wynnstay Group Plc., has announced the opening of its new 65,000t fertiliser blending facility at the Port of Avonmouth, Bristol.

The company has said that just a few months after moving into full operation, the new plant is already ramping up production in line with the group’s strategic growth plans.

The new facility is part of Glasson Fertilisers’ plans to expand sales across the south-west and
southern England as well as in south Wales, which the company said marks its “long-term commitment to the UK agricultural sector”.

The Avonmouth site is equipped with advanced blending and handling technology and capable of further capacity expansion, according to Glasson.

Its cutting-edge systems are said to ensure consistent product quality and environmental performance.

Director of Glasson Fertilisers, Robert Ingham said: “We’re very pleased to see our Avonmouth operation ramping up production in line with our plans.

“Our investment is a clear signal of our intention to build our fertiliser business. We are proud to support British agriculture with reliable, high-quality products and advisory services that farmers can turn to when considering soil health and efficient crop production.”

According to the fertiliser company, the facility’s location at the Port of Avonmouth, which is a high-quality, deep-sea port, enables efficient importation of raw materials as well as effective distribution logistics.

“Our fertiliser business is a vital part of our future. We are investing in the people, infrastructure, and technology needed to ensure we remain a leading UK supplier of blended fertiliser and a trusted partner to farmers and the wider trade for years to come,” Ingham added.

Glasson Fertilisers said it has a broad customer base with a wide range of fertiliser solutions that help to maximise crop and forage production and support sustainable farming practices.

Glasson Fertilisers also carried out soil sampling analysis and subsequently provides advice based on soil health and crop requirements.
