Registration statistics in Germany, for 2016, show that four Fendt tractor models are among the top-five models (of all brands) sold across the country.

"This is a top result for us," said Andreas Loewel, Manager of the German Fendt Sales Department.

"We would like to take the opportunity to thank all the farmers and contractors for their confidence in Fendt, despite the difficult conditions in 2016. I am very proud of the performance of our Fendt sales partners and the entire team. Such a performance can only result from good partnership between dealers and the manufacturer."

A year previously, in 2015, Fendt succeeded in taking the first three places, as indicated by the statistics from the German vehicle registration office. However, the ranking has now changed for 2016 - in Fendt's favour.

"This excellent result is even better. In 5th place is the 718 Vario," said Loewel. "This means that the 700 Vario series is the best-selling tractor range in Germany.

In Germany, in 2016, a total of 28,746 tractors (of all brands) were registered. The number of registrations was lower than 2015, showing a drop of 10.8%.

'Dealer satisfaction barometer'

Meanwhile, Fendt says that it was once again voted into first place in the 'Dealer Satisfaction Barometer' (in Germany).

German dealers for various tractor manufacturers answered a survey, in which they were asked questions in a number of categories such as: brand image and impact; tractor marketing; spare parts marketing; after-sales service and warranty; training and manufacturer-dealer relations.

The German Dealer Satisfaction Barometer is traditionally revealed on the first day of the Landtechnische Unternehmertage conference. The exercise involves European machinery umbrella organisation CLIMMAR.

Fendt took first place, with 15.3 out of a possible 20 points.

“The results of the independent dealer survey confirm the impression I already had. In 2016, we worked in close dialogue with our dealers and launched a number of projects,” said Loewel.

“A great deal of discussion, but also supportive sales and service measures, have clearly reinforced the partnership with our dealers - in a year that was not easy for the sector overall.”
