Bobcat announced the launch of its new range of auger and trencher attachments, which are compatible with a wide selection of the company’s loaders, mini excavators, and telehandler models.
The new robust line of augers features five drive models and can be used with a comprehensive selection of auger bits designed for different ground conditions.
Alongside this, the versatile and durable trencher range also comprises five new models offering a wide range of digging depths.
According to Bobcat, as a leading global manufacturer of compact equipment since 1958, they have “a legacy of innovation and a reputation for delivering smart solutions to customers’ toughest challenges”.
Bobcat auger
The new generation of robust and reliable auger drives comprising the 11H, 28H, 28LH, 33H and 55LH models, is compatible with a wide range of Bobcat excavators, skid-steer and track loaders, small articulated loaders, compact wheel loaders and telehandlers.
The new auger attachments allows its users to dig holes “with speed and plumb-line accuracy”, Bobcat said.
It said: “Using heavy-duty hydraulics, with flows across the five models covering the range from 30-200L/min, the auger attachments can bite into soil in any condition with ease and efficiency.”
This new range of augers use the already existing Bobcat breaker fixing caps, so can be attached to the full range of mini excavators without the need for new caps.
Bobcat highlighted features of the new auger line, including top-mounted hose ports for angled fittings that route hydraulic hoses upwards from the hood.
According to the manufacturer, this provides “unobstructed operation” and allows the drives to “fit easily down the hole”.
The integrated motor reduces the size and weight of the drive, as well as lowering the number of parts and potential leak points
There are two LH auger drives in the range that come with an innovative LED alignment system integrated into the auger drive’s hood for ease of operation and accuracy.
Bobcat trencher
The new generation of Bobcat trenchers encompasses the LT90, LT90 HD, LT120, LT120 HD, and LT150 HD models, built for reliability, durability and outstanding performance.
The company announces that for the first time, these trenchers are also available for Bobcat mini-excavators.
“Spoil is efficiently removed and finely crumbled, making it easy to compact back into the trench for a stable foundation,” Bobcat said.
The five new trencher models cover digging depths from 450-1500mm, along with a selection of chains to match different job requirements.
Just like Bobcat’s new augers, the new trenchers uses the existing Bobcat breaker fixing caps to ensure their ability to be used with Bobcat mini excavators.
For added versatility, the crumber can be easily folded away when not required.
“The powerful planetary drive delivers exceptional torque and high-power output for tough digging conditions,” Bobcat said.
Operators also have access to an adjustable skid foot, that features up to four present digging depths to provide flexibility at working at multiple depths using the same trenching model.
This allows operators to quickly select the right setting to match the required job.
There is also side shift capability for confined spaces; allowing the trencher’s frame to be shifted to the side, making it easy to dig right up against foundations, walls, and other permanent structures.
These new attachments join the Bobcat line-up, with all of its compact machines being developed as tool carriers, which – in combination with the wide selection of attachments – can be employed to tackle challenging applications within agriculture, landscaping, construction, material handling and many other industries.
