Thousands of visitors descended on the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Bermingham today (Wednesday, January 14) for day one of the LAMMA exhibition.

There were over 800 exhibitors displaying their wares with new products unveiled at many of the stands.

The Demo Zone is bringing live, hands-on demonstrations from some of the industry’s leading brands throughout both show days.

Whether you’re comparing machinery performance, watching technology in action, or evaluating equipment up close, the zone has been covering everything from precision drills to harvesters, soil tech to grassland gear.

Clarkson’s Farm star, Kaleb Cooper and presenter and farmer, Tom Pemberton also attended day one to launch the 2026 Young British Farming Awards.

Both advocates for young farmers spoke about the need to celebrate those leading the way in the next generation of British agriculture.

This year LAMMA has also hosted Victoria Atkins, shadow secretary of state for Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra).

She said: “The result we got with Inheritance Tax is as a result of the work you’ve done alongside the NFU and Farmers Guardian, you are the people that have won this partial u-turn. I make a promise that I will continue to fight for you and hold the government to account.”

Earlier today, Agro-Vital was surprised on their stand as they won Overall Innovation of the Year, receiving the prestigious IAgrE Ivel Award for their groundbreaking solution, TRIPLEX.

TRIPLEX is an advanced nutrient system that combines cutting-edge soil and sap analysis with farm-specific data to create fully tailored liquid and foliar fertilisers.

By aligning nutrient applications precisely with actual crop needs, TRIPLEX:

  • Maximises nutrient use efficiency;
  • Enhances crop performance;
  • Reduces environmental impact;
  • A truly forward-thinking innovation that represents the future of sustainable agriculture, according to the judges.
